Emptiness

The work consists of a dead tree stump covered in nails and surrounded by tangled electrical wires.
The work is the artist's perspective on death. Death seems to be a part of everything that must experienced to complete a life. At the same time, the work also shows the impact of humans on the ecosystem.
Visitors use the electric wire to touch the nails hammered into the tree stump to make sounds. The emptiness is auditory in the experience of the interactant as if they are communicating with the spirit of the dead tree.
