This essay investigates the central research question: How have contradictions in visual art affected public perception in Vietnam from 2020 to the present?
The study concludes that contradictions in visual art act as catalysts for cognitive and emotional growth, encouraging audiences to reassess their perceptions and embrace complexity. In the Vietnamese context, where traditional values intersect with contemporary artistic expressions, these contradictions offer profound insights into cultural transformation and awareness. By framing contradiction as a positive and integral aspect of art, the essay underscores its potential to bridge diverse perspectives and foster a deeper understanding of human experience.

EAW 2021 is an artist-in-residence program took place at Dong Nai, Vietnam. Six young Vietnamese artists were invited to stay and create experimental artworks.

EAW 2022 is a small-scale artist residency project organized by Chinbo Studio and Chinbo Collective, with support from Assoc. Dr. Nguyen Van Minh, Hoang Thi Ngoc Hanh, and People’s Teacher Truong Phi Duc.

Participating individuals include young artists, students, and individuals who have never practiced art before. They will have a week to create artwork in a 2-hectare rambutan garden. At the end of the week, their artwork will be exhibited in a one-day exhibition, summarizing what they have created during the residency.

EAW is an artist-in-residence project organized by Chinbo Studio and Chinbo Collective in collaboration with Ben Doi Creative Studio Street, with the support of Assoc. Dr. Nguyen Van Minh, Tran Luong. The project was funded by Modern Art Studio, Coo Production, Salt Bakehouse, and artist Din.

The 2022 KO-VIET festival will celebrate the connection between Vietnam and Korea through a spectacular display of diverse artworks. With the range of artwork that will be showcased, both countries will be united in a shared appreciation of culture, and creativity.
